JavaOneTM 2006 Hands-on Lab
for People Who Want to Use Their Own Laptops

During the 4-day period of JavaOne 2006, nineteen instructor-led hands-on labs are scheduled as below. (Three of those labs are also repeated on Wednesday night.)  In each instructor-led lab session, 100 Solaris x86-based lab machines are provided.  There will be also a few tables at the back, which should accommodate about 25 people who want to bring and use their own laptops - we will call them "Bring your own laptop attendees".

If you want to use your own laptops and participate in an instructor-led lab, it is recommended that you pre-install the platform software required and hands-on lab zip file.  In order to find the platform software required for each lab, please unzip the hands-on lab zip file under a directory of your choice and take a look at the "Software Required" and "Exercise 0" sections of the lab document - the lab document is "index.html" under a newly created sub-directory.  For example, if you downloaded and unzipped the lab zip file of the "LAB-8105 NetBeans Enterprise: Basic UML Modeling" hands-on lab, which is named  as "8105_nbeuml.zip", a sub-directory called "nbeuml" will be created. Under the  "nbeuml" sub-directory, you will find "index.html" file.

Some labs are not available for "Bring your own laptop attendees" and they are noted accordingly below.
